Big Horn
Galleries is pleased to announce representation
of artist Nancy Dunlop Cawdrey. Although Nancy lives
in (and loves!) rural Montana, her work has
a sophisticated; contemporary flair. She paints
beautiful, classic oils of a wide variety
of subjects, including cowgirls, wildlife,
florals, and landscapes; but her painted silks
are what distinguish her work in the Western
genre. Silk is typically associated with China
and Eastern cultures and not with Western
Art, but for Nancy, the combination of color
and fabric take this medium to a new and exciting
level.
Nancy's current artwork is the result of years
of travel and international experience, an
interest in mythology, art training, one adventurous
spirit, and a willingness to combine it all
into a very fresh approach to interpret the
West.
